On April 20, mister Claudio Ranieri will accept the “Tor Vergata – Etica nello Sport” Award.
Came to its fiftieth edition, the award is always bestowed to personalities of national and international reputation who distinguished themselves in their careers for fair play and ethical values.
The Italian coach has been chosen for his sports merits by the Judging Board, headed by Giuseppe Novelli, Dean of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. By granting the award to Claudio Ranieri the Board meant to honour a world-class coach, who has always embodied the core values of sports: great commitment and competitiveness, but with integrity and fair play, constantly managing to remain faithful to his principles and still achieving incredible successes; a role model for his life other than for his professional sports career.
The award ceremony, which will be a further occasion to approach young people to true sports values, will take place at the Lecture Hall of the Macroarea of Economics of the University of Rome Tor Vergata (in via Columbia, 2). The event, promoted and organized by Centro Interdisciplinare di Scienze e Cultura dello Sport, will be held on April 20th, 2017 at 3 p.m., in partnership with Banca del Fucino, with the patronage of ACSI (Associazione Centri Sportivi Italiani) e the patronage and collaboration of MECS (Movimento per l’Etica,la Cultura e lo Sport). In the latest editions, the award has been received, among the others, by Sir Alex Ferguson, Cesare Prandelli, Valentina Vezzali and Luca Cordero di Montezemolo.
