CAAST AT HYDRO 2022

Customized sealing systems, even for large diameters, for the hydroelectric sector.

CAAST, a dynamic and innovative company, founded in Italy in 1998 and specialized in
the construction of sealing systems, participated in Hydro 2022 (Strasbourg – France):
after the transformation into a S.p.A. in 2020, it wants to strengthen its presence on
international markets, providing reliable answers to the most critical conditions of use
thanks to its experience and its rich know-how.

Hydropower is a versatile, low-cost system that represents an important source of clean
electricity production, ensuring responsible water management: its role in the global
recovery and energy transition, towards greater production of renewable energy, it will be
increasingly important to mitigate the effects of climate change and to counter the rise in
oil and gas prices resulting from the difficult international situation.

sealing solutions, for multiple applications, in collaboration and on behalf of the most
important companies in the sector – said Lorenzo De Lorenzi, CAAST Sales Director – our
products guarantee a remarkable reliability and are used, for example, in applications
characterized by severe operating conditions and the need for very long maintenance
intervals. We are also able to ensure materials for very high performance, producing and,
if necessary, designing gaskets made in a single piece that can exceed three meters or
even without size limits for some production technologies.”

The accurate studies carried out by the CAAST Research and Development department
guarantee full traceability of materials, quality controls according to the most stringent
parameters, technical support in the development of new applications, customized tests on
materials based on the requests, services and solutions of the end user. CAAST supplies
gaskets made with turning, molding and drawing technology performed with innovative
machinery, which allow to meet the requirements of the most severe applications where
the stress suffered by the seals is high, be it due to pressures, particular wear of the metal
parts, conditions dictated by the particular work environment etc.
