29 March 2010, Rome – the European Commission has agreed to finance the project “Livelihood support to drought affected communities in the selected regions of Ethiopia“.
The project is funded by the European Aid Department (ECHO) from a donation of 2 000 000 euro over a period of 10 months to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), which will implement the action.
The principal objective of the project is to reduce the vulnerability of the drought affected farmers, agro-pastoralists and pastoralists of Ethiopia through livelihood support interventions.
