Il progetto, dal titolo Andvake, racconta in particolare l\u2019esperienza di residenza-studio trascorsa recentemente dall\u2019artista in Norvegia presso NKD &#8211; Nordic Artists\u2019 Centre Dale.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019immensit\u00e0 e la drammaticit\u00e0 del paesaggio nordico, la sua tensione nel punto di incontro tra terra e acqua e l\u2019asperit\u00e0 della roccia sono alcuni dei principali soggetti delle opere esposte. Nello spazio della galleria, tele di grande formato si alternano a dipinti di piccolo formato e piccoli frammenti di carte e collage che fanno pensare ad una natura irraggiungibile, a volte, invisibile ma letta ed evocata, nelle sue particolarit\u00e0, attraverso una sorta di lente di ingrandimento.<\/p>\n<p>Veronica de Giovanelli racconta di una natura stratificata e quasi immateriale nella diluizione delle sue forme. Ricostruisce una geologia fatta di sedimentazioni, esplosioni vulcaniche e di erosioni.<br \/>\nE, come lei stessa racconta: \u201cil punto di partenza di ogni dipinto pu\u00f2 essere molto diverso: fotografie scattate o trovate, antiche mappe geologiche, rocce viste al microscopio, poesie e racconti\u201d.<br \/>\nIl titolo della mostra \u201cAndvake\u201d deriva da una parola in nynorsk, una delle due forme di scrittura ufficiali della lingua norvegese. Andvake evoca significati diversi tra cui insonnia, veglia e vigilanza allo stesso tempo.<\/p>\n<p>Per Veronica de Giovanelli questa parola rimanda alla particolare attenzione nei confronti di ci\u00f2 che ci circonda e al tempo stesso a quel momento di tensione costante che ogni artista vive nella fase di realizzazione di un\u2019opera. E\u2019 l\u2019attimo nel quale il dialogo incessante con l\u2019immagine in divenire, fatto di tentativi, rischi e ripensamenti, implica anche un tempo molto dilatato di osservazione attiva, che difficilmente riesce ad abbandonare l\u2019animo del suo esecutore.<\/p>\n<p>Le opere sono circa una ventina.<br \/>\nLa mostra \u00e8 corredata da un catalogo.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u2013<\/p>\n<p>In December \u2013 February, Boccanera Gallery Trento presents the research of Veronica de Giovanelli. The project, entitled Andvake, recounts in particular the artist\u2019s recent residency-study experience in Norway at the NKD \u2013 Nordic Artists\u2019 Centre Dale.<\/p>\n<p>The immensity and drama nature of the Nordic landscape, its tension at the meeting point between land and water and the roughness of the rock are some of the main subjects of the works on display. In the gallery space, large-format canvases alternate with small-format paintings and small fragments of paper and collage that suggest an unreachable, sometimes invisible nature, yet interpreted and evoked, in all its particularities, through a sort of magnifying glass.<\/p>\n<p>Veronica de Giovanelli tells of a stratified and almost immaterial nature in the dilution of its forms. She reconstructs a geology made up of sedimentation, volcanic explosions and erosion. And as she herself says: \u201cThe starting point for each painting can be very different: photographs taken or found, ancient geological maps, rocks seen under the microscope, poems or stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The title of the exhibition \u2013 Andvake \u2013 comes from a word in Nynorsk: one of the two official writing forms of the Norwegian language. Andvake evokes various meanings, including insomnia, wakefulness and vigilance at the same time. For Veronica de Giovanelli, the word refers to a heightened attention to what surrounds us and at the same time to that moment of constant tension that every artist experiences when creating a work.
