Cover girl Katie Holmes flashes her bra in see-through black frock at DuJour magazine party… and attracts a few male admirers in the process<\/p>\n

She tends to err on the conservative side when it comes to fashion.<\/p>\n

But Katie Holmes was feeling a bit more daring on Tuesday, as she flashed her black bra in a see-through little black dress.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old actress attended the DuJour fall issue celebration in New York City as the magazine’s latest cover girl.<\/p>\n

The frock featured long slits down the front and the back of the bodice and a funky flared skirt with large pleats.<\/p>\n

The Giver star strutted her stuff in black pumps and kept her accessories to a minimum, with just a couple of gold bracelets.<\/p>\n

And it would seem her rather daring choice of ensemble attracted the attention of a few dapper gentleman, in the form of Cristiano Mancini, director of marketing for Roberto Cavalli, and CEO of DuJour Media Jason Binn, who couldn’t resist leaning over to chat to her as she relaxed with a drink.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, she is making a career comeback with a slew of new films lined up in the next couple years.<\/p>\n

And in her interview with the luxury fashion magazine, Katie discusses the ‘dry spell’ she experienced which coincided with the birth of her daughter Suri in 2006 while married to Tom Cruise.<\/p>\n

But she does not blame her relationship with the mega star for the apparent lull in her career, saying it’s just part of the business.<\/p>\n

‘It’s the life of an actor. We don’t really have a lot of choice in the matter,’ Katie said.<\/p>\n

‘You have dry spells,’ the actress said, who divorced Tom two years ago, ‘and then you have times when there is a lot of opportunity.’<\/p>\n

‘Even early on, when I was a young actor and all of a sudden people knew who I was, my dad told me, “Don’t let that change how you live your life”,’ the star continued.<\/p>\n

‘I’ve always sort of approached it that way. You have to continue to do the things you want to do and not let outside forces dictate.’<\/p>\n

Adding: ‘I think I’ve gotten more comfortable with acting over time. Early on, I could never get out of my head… I was afraid that I was going to get fired…<\/p>\n

‘But the more projects you do, the older you get, the more life experience you get, you start to understand storytelling better.<\/p>\n

‘So you’re a little bit more confident going in. You’re not afraid of getting fired: You just want to contribute.’<\/p>\n
