Tripla ospitata di rilievo questo mese a <\/span><\/span>REBEL MOTEL<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: continuando a ricercare le nuove tendenze dell’underground – ma allo stesso tempo sempre interessato al vissuto del sound che è solito proporre – Rebel Motel ha radunato per il suo pubblico tre guests di spessore che riassumono passato presente e futuro prossimo di quel filone della musica elettronica che – a partire dalla fine degli anni 90 – ha recuperato gli insegnamenti della new wave riattualizzandola in chiave contemporanea. Chiamatelo electro, electro-clash, synth-pop, dovrete comunque far riferimento a THE HACKER per declinare la diffusione di massa di queste sonorità; a GESAFFELSTEIN per raccontarne le ultime attualizzazioni, mentre l’italiano NEWCLEAR WAVES vi illustrerà il ritorno del passato sotto nuova e insolita forma (quella minimal synth).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

THE HACKER è conosciuto ai più per essere da tempo impegnato con MISS KITTIN nella sperimentazione e reinvenzione dell’immaginario Electro-pop. Il progetto nasce artisticamente negli ultimi scorci degli anni ’80: in esso si reincarnano influenze mutevoli tra il minimalismo elettronico dei Kraftwerk, il background New Wave di bands quali The Cure e Depeche Mode e l’attitudine rave dei primi ’90. THE HACKER inizia a produrre a soli 17 anni – in un periodo fortemente influenzato da gruppi new romantic come i Duran Duran – decidendo di addentrasi nel lato più oscuro dell’elettronica. Dopo una breve parentesi in cui produce hardcore opta per un rallentamento dei BPM e ‘inventa’ assieme a un manipolo ristretto di altri artisti il cosiddetto Electroclash. Negli anni seguenti il progetto incuriosisce tra gli altri Karl Lagerfeld e Elton John per fare alcuni nomi prestigiosi. In poco tempo il suo nom de plume è sulla bocca di tutti e presto compone remixes per Marc Almond, Fischerspooner e Air stringendo anche importanti collaborazioni con Kiko, Alexander Robotnick, Millimetric e David Carretta. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

GESAFFELSTEIN – suo compagno di scuderia sulla label francese supercool ZONE – si esibirà invece dal vivo per la seconda volta sul palco di REBEL MOTEL. Acclamato a gran voce dal pubblico dopo la precedente session in cui ha letteralmente raso al suolo il dancefloor con i suoi bassi bulldozer, Mike Levy torna a deliziare la platea di <\/span><\/span>REBEL MOTEL<\/strong><\/span><\/span> armato di un manipolo di tracce talmente potenti da meritargli l’attenzione degli addetti ai lavori di mezza Europa. Sorriso malizioso, un indiscutibile gusto nel vestire e una predilezione per le basslines poderose rappresentano i plus di questo musicista giovanissimo e ipertalentuoso.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

La risposta italiana a tutto questo è NEWCLEAR WAVES, mente dietro al brand Mannequin, invitato ad aprire la serata con un live-set funambolico preparato ad hoc per la REBEL MOTEL night. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In aggiunta il pubblico di Rebel Motel troverà, come ciliegina su una torta ben guarnita, i DJs FRED VENTURA, SVPERFINE e DANILO PASQUALI, con i suoi specialissimi interventi performativi sui video multimediali dell’abile VJ Boku.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
